We have a brand-new IRC server here at BGSU. Actually, I'm being a
little loose w/ terminology- what we have is a local relay chat that
emulates the IRC model. What I'm wondering is if anybody has the scripts
for any "game-bots"- bots that will automatically run games such as
"Jeopardy". I promise that I won't pollute the Internet Relay Chat w/
these bots- just looking for something to amuse my friends & colleagues
at BGSU.

unless you're using ircII, ircII scripts won't do you much good. Is it a
different relay chat program LIKE irc? or are you simply running a
standalone irc server?

It's a standalone, running 2.6.2b. I say it "emulates" IRC because of
the fact that it is a standalone (no connections to the real world
allowed) and the sysadmins, in their infinite wisdom, stripped the
user-end part of the server of many commands. :-( However, I'm accessing
the server w/ a normal ircII client, and have full use of ircII scripts.
(They even work- I've tried. :-) ) So what we're looking at is a relay
chat that is rather limited, but still can handle the features of ircII
given the right people with the right clients (remember, only the
user-end was changed, not the server itself). I hope that clears things
up; if not, e-mail me & I'll supply more info.
