Cservice maybe should look into things a bit more... I registered a
channel (#Margaritaville) with an ex-friend of mine... Well Cservice
has removed my 500 level ops... because of an erroneous email that I
wrote... well that is funny... cause the person in question has
obviously pulled a fast one on you and I... cause he has been living
with me for the past 6 months and doesn't care much for me now...
Well... it doesn' matter anyways... I don't want that 500 level
access in a channel that no one visits... and a channel operator that
is extremely power hungry. It doesn't matter... but Cservice needs to
check into the stories a bit more...

I believe this matter was resolved immediately after the error was
found. Keep in mind that cservice has no way of distinguishing things
and the only recourse is to mail back the registered manager for
confirmation which I believe was done in this case.

I had a very similar problem on a channel. CService is a little
unforgiving in this area. The 500 level op is the Channel Manager. If you
lose the 500 level op, CService will delete the channel and make you
reapply for it, in 99% of the cases. It happened with me and I was a 450
on the channel. They claim the channel belongs to the Manager and ONLY to
the Manager. Sorry, I didn't like that answer either, but that's life I
guess.

Actually a good way to handle this is if you know that the manager
is gone or going to be gone for a long period of time you
get the manager to mail cservice and ask that you take over as manager
(this is the easiest thing to do)

The other thing you can do is if they have left already and the channel
is in a position to be purged (manager vacant for > 3 weeks) then you
can talk to the other users on the channel and decide on who should be
the new manager and mail in and request the change stating that the
previous manager has left and is gone but you would like the channel to
continue. This mail should include names and e-mail addresses all of the
people that support the request for change and should be sent into
cservice...@undernet.org

Thanks Super! I guess I didn't give justice when I explained what had
happened. The channel manager had been gone for 2 months+ and activitity
in the channel basically died because of it. I do understand CService's
position on it. They suggested reapplying, but I feel maybe the best thing
is to let it die, and let some other good people get their own channel.
