I'm sure everyone is tired of manually using Fserves to get movies.
And a lot of people can't even figure out how to use them in the first
place.

I decided a GUI to fserves, or better yet an automatic search,
request, and download program is in order.

Enter EasyTMD. EasyTMD is open-source, i.e. FREE. It grabs movies
automatically from fserves on IRC, like you all have pointed out it's
not fast, but it is guaranteed, unlike kazaa where half the time the
movie is misnamed and not the one you wanted, and the other half the
audio is out of sync or it doesn't play around.

It gets TMD movies only now but the next version will have a plugin
feature which will let it get movies anywhere on IRC, also MP3s and
software.

It can be downloaded from http://www.levelthreesolutions.com/easytmd

wtf anyone would want TMD screeners is beyond me. They are generally so
crapy, it's not funny.

On another note, now that I've seen your little spam advertisement here,
I'll will be adding your program to our anti-leech script to prevent it from
gaining it's information from our fserve's. Just sounds like another
Bottler/irc-ork script to me.

First of all it's not spam and I have no idea what definition of spam
you used to decide it was.

TMD movies aren't inherently bad quality, you like most people don't
understand the process but TMD people do not go into theaters with
cameras, they take the best quality releases they can find, encode
them so that they are smaller files but the same quality, and then
make them available. So if it's bad quality it's because the best that
was available was below your standards, and you were too impatient and
lacked the knowledge to wait for a better quality release.

Anyway... Go ahead and try to block it - it's not a script it's a
program, and it's not necessarily identifiable, it mimicks an actual
user. You're not serving on the network/channel that it currently uses
anyway, and once there's a plugin that uses a channel you do serve on,
it'll probably be updated often enough to get around any blocking
mechanism you put in place.

For the record, this is what spam looks like:
EasyTMD makes getting movies easy!! Make a list of movies, and it
downloads them automatically.

What a load of bullshit. I have several screener movies that have the TMD
tag on them that have people getting up during the movie in front of the
camera, so I assure you you do not know what your talking about. Maybe TMD
have improved to ripping DVD's in thier home now?
And the same comment about the quality was passed to you in your other
thread by someone else, so I am not alone in this line of thinking.

I doubt that very much, bottler/irc-ork users thought the same too and we
blocked them.

No different then what you did in the first message to newsgroup. This is
not an advertising medium for peoples products, which is what your doing so
it is spam.

I have yet to download anything with TMD in the filename that WASN'T
bad quality! (and ultimately gets deleted, and person downloaded from
ignored)

You're confused. Maybe you could comprehend it if I put it like this:
"The people going into the theaters with cameras are not TMD people,
but sometimes the movies by those people are the best quality
available."

I hope I don't have to repeat myself again. Yes there is a problem
with the quality of the *first* release of most movies. None of the
releases come from TMD, TMD just takes releases and reencodes them.
It's not a problem with TMD, it's a problem with the availability of
bootlegged movies, and with people like yourself who can't wait for a
good quality release and then bitch and moan about the quality of the
first release!

Understand now? Well I see from some of your other posts that you
sometimes have problems understanding simple concepts, but still have
the gall to flame people anyway.

Good luck.

By that definition every message you send with the signiture:

------------------------------------------------------
/server irc.atomicchat.net #Startrek-USA (SOP)
------------------------------------------------------

is an advertisement for your little channel and therefore spam, being
a signiture wouldn't save it from that definition. What's more, in the
case of this thread it is less relevent than the link I posted. In
fact one could draw the conclusion that you are purposely hunting down
any post you can flame for the purpose of advertising your server,
since your arguments are often so incoherent. I'd consider the
relevent link I included, and the preceding informative post not an
advertisement but help specifically on the topic being discussed in
the thread.
