Windows XP
Using PCI/IDE Silicon Image card for the IDE connection to the ZIP drive.
ZIP 100 IDE drive.

Computer sees the drive and it seems to work fine.
TIP doesn't see the drive. The Start or Begin button has no words in it.
Does nothing but depress when clicked on.

I installed IomegaWare.
TIP still doesn't see the drive.

What next?

Thanks,

Fred

TIP runs under Windows XP? Doesn't say so here:

But if the drive works, then it is working. No need for TIP.

I just checked to make sure TIP works under XP, and it does.

The "press to begin" button will be blank until after you've inserted
a Zip disk (TIP will eject any disks when you first run it).

If it doesn't work for you, then it may be due to the PCI/IDE Silicon
Image card. My drive is hooked up to the motherboard's IDE
controller. When I view the drive's properties in My Computer, the
More Information button in the Drive section under the Iomega tab
shows the Miniport Driver as "atapi". Does yours show another driver
there?

I don't like the latest version of IomegaWare; it did some very bad
things to my system. I use version 3.11. If you want to try that,
make sure you uninstall your existing version before installing it.
You can get it from here:
