Has anybody got any experience or advice on courses in active (day) trading,
preferably in the UK?

I read a Sunday Times article some time ago about course run by a gentleman
Mr A. Labos,
any views on this or perhaps other recommendations?

Thanks in advance for your input

Albert Labos appears to use Volume with the price spread to determine
when he goes in, other than that I would like to know more as well.

The UK Society of Technical Analists holds an 11 week course once a year at
South Bank University. The sylabus allows you to prepare for their diploma
which is equivalent to the American SOciety's Level II exam.

Alternatively, its Secretary - Micheal Smirk teaches privately. He was a
commodities trader for a nu,ber of years and now lives in Surrey. He is
very, very good!

Details of the UK STA at:

http://www.sta-uk.org/

Mr. Smirk can be reached at the address indicated in their web pages.

Does anyone think the GBP 3000 Mr Labos charges is worth it. The Sunday
Times certianly gave him very good reviews. I know I'd rather pay GBP 3000
and get something worthwhile than pay USD 200 for some 'world beating' super
system... you know the type I mean.

An info on Mr Labos would be appreciated.

I do think the ADVERT in the times did put Mr Labos in a good light
but there was no facts,no trading records, and I have yet to hear from
somebody that his methods actually work. By the way it was GBP3000 but
he has put it up to GBP5000,imagine the books and computer equipment
you could buy with that. So does anyone use this world beating system
out there ? Dont all shout at once
