Does anyone have any kind of information regarding a Linux driver for the
Linksys WPC54G Wireless G Adapter. I can't believe they don't support
linux. Which is a huge reason Linux on the desktop will die if they don't
get serious about driver support. I have things that are three years old
that still don't work in Linux. It is a damn shame. Well if anyone out
there knows how to write drivers, the WPC54G is based on the Broadcom
BCM4306 chipset. I don't know if that is much help. Also, here is a link
to the documents that the FCC has on the card.

according to Dave Hinds, in response to a post I made to comp.os.linux.portable,
no wireless drivers support cardbus cards.

Well, they do have drivers for the WPC11 card. They are available for
download. Actually there are a number of wireless cards that have linux
support, it just so happens that my chipset is made by Broadcom. I am in
the process of trying to massage the source code from their evil clutches.
I am not going to simply give up and purchase another card. Broadcom has
the drivers but they will only make them available to the manufacturer of
the card if they request them. So I am going to hound the crap out of
Linksys until they get the drivers for me. I hope they know what they are
in for. I will be known as "the guy that calls Linksys on a daily basis."
But hey, it is all for the greater good.

You asked about support for 54G cards, the WPC11 is not. It is 802.11b and not
cardbus I believe
