am still blacklisted by google despite my site conforming to their
guidelines...

they have said that technicians are working on our site? and that it may
take 8 weeks to get reindexed, despite this we still get the googlebots
spidering our site and we have a pagerank of 5?

Hi,

Could it be the way you have reduced the size of H* relative to body
text (i.e. h2 smaller than table text)-

td { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;
text-align: left}
h1 { font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; color: #FF3300; margin-top:
0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px;
padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px;
padding-left: 0px}
.news { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px}
h2 { font-size: 10px; font-weight: bold; color: #FF3300; margin-top:
0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px;
padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px;
padding-left: 0px }

Or the heavily keyword spammed alt text?

Take the two red background images at the top, why would you add text
- "web design leeds graphic design leeds" there? Why is this relevant
to two red background images?

Then there is the use of H1 tags around images, what are they for?

Looking at your source it looks iffy to me, so a manual google check
may not result in a reindex.

Since your site is already banned this isn't what I'd do to be
reindexed. I'd work on the principle of whiter than white, taking no
risks whatsoever, just in case. Remember google is under no obligation
to list any site in their database.

When relisted you can bend a few rules.

I'm interested to hear how you found out that you were blacklisted.
Please tell us what happened... or did I miss a thread?

It could be because of the hosting service you have. I used to have
godaddy hosting and was blacklisted on a few lists. I changed to a
dedicated server on aosoft.com and all of a sudden my pages started
showing up.
I don't know if this is the case for you though.
