Your not the only one, I can't read most of my own posts!! They
usually show up on Google archives though.

I've stripped out most of the distinguishing features of my usual
posts from this one.

I suspect either it's NTL messing up (I use NTL cable modem) or my
posts are getting blocked.

BTW I'm a he :-))

For the record, i read news via the combined newsfeed
service provided by an isp called sonic.net in Sonoma
County, CA, USA (using, at my end, Netscape 4.7 and a
Macintosh) -- and i have seen your posts every day for many
months and have NO trouble identifying, opening, or reading
them. I quite enjoy them, in fact -- but not enough to
entice me to click on your sig-link and see what you offer
for sale.

Having said that, now i probably will. :-)

why have you gotten all stressed?
Can I not put the words lingerie and children in the same sentence without
causing an uproar?
That is seemingly what has triggered you off.

The point I was making was that it seems a little pointless to refer to
something as "adult lingerie" when it is quite clear that only adults wear
lingerie. Its like saying "look at the baby lambs."

Please keep yourself in order next time someone dares to mention children in
front of you.

If he was called "adult beer" I'd have said "as opposed to what? children's
beer?"
The word lingerie wasn't important, neither was the fact that lingerie &
children were in the same sentence.

Just because those 2 words apparently make you think of "sick" things, don't
take it out on me. I certainly wasn't thinking of anything "sick"

If you want something legitimate to complain about, write an email to google
asking them why they are storing the archives of paedophilia newsgroups on
their servers. Now thats what I call sick and I've wrote to my MP about it
several months ago.

Now get off my back.
thanks

LOL

The very, very early days of learning SEO. Originally the site was
called OOar Supplies (we still trade under the name), but realised
that having keywords in the company (or at least site) name would make
it much easier to use them on the site naturally and with links to our
site. When we lost our first domain (ooar.net) in the first few months
to fraud we took the opportunity to rethink the site name.

Knowing what we know now Adult Lingerie UK wouldn't of been the first
choice since no one searches for the exact 3 word phrase and very few
for related phrases (other than Lingerie of course). Sexy Lingerie UK
would of been better, though think that's been used, so could of
caused other problems. Fortunately it's working well for us currently
3 to 4000 visitors a day and rising.

Hi,

I didn't see a problem myself?

Actually you'd be surprised at what people search for.

From Overture search tool, number of searches per month-

Here's the top 10 (there's a lot more).

585873 lingerie
77053 sexy lingerie
39176 lingerie model
33512 plus size lingerie
27799 bridal lingerie
15827 lingerie picture
15212 womens lingerie
14934 sheer lingerie
14419 trashy lingerie
13392 erotic lingerie

We get hundreds of visitors a day searching for many of the terms
above. Even adult lingerie (which we are number 1 for) brings us a
dozen visitors a day :-))

I go to a fair number of adults sites while looking for links etc..
and report any that have any mention of under 18s to
http://asacp.org/. I saw nothing wrong with what you said.

Just done a search for Children's Lingerie and there appears to be
such a thing (or at least non 'sick' sites using the phrase). There is
even a furniture company selling Children's Lingerie Chests (strange
but true).

I would like to know how many visits you get from
each of these keywords, and how these Overture numbers
may be related to Google one
(I already asked for this in another thread).

Thanks,

so would I?
Perhaps you are using wordtracker.com full version. Thats the only way I
know of to get google search stats at the moment.

I don't have wordtracker, that's why I would like to know
the average Google/Overture visits ratio so I can use
the web page:
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/
to see Overture visits for a given keyword,
and teh I can estimate Google visits...

By the way, can goodkeywords.com do this?
(it is free)

well if we know/think that google is credited with 3/4 of all internet
searches then you could times your overture results by no more than 3
