how to improve myranking

dear analytics members,

i have been desperately trying to improve the ranking of my site
http://www.HomePriceMaps.com.


it seems that i need to get other people to link to my site and that i
need to get VALUABLE websites to link to my site. am i missing
anything?

Quite possibly but you seem to have got the right idea. You do need to
give people a sound reason for linking to your site, other than that
you'd quite like it.

You should start with your own page, your own code. Run a spider
simulation at http://www.submitexpress.com/analyzer/ and you will see
that something is very wrong. You've got two head tags, one (the
important) is empty. As far as I can see you have no internal linking
that robots can follow.

Not much original content. I do see some links to the rest of the site
but they all go to an email function. Best bet is to rely on great
links.
