Hi.
Does anyone know how to stop the BTI homepage appearing everytime I connect
(offpeak surftime), despite having a different homepage set in my IE
options?
Thanks in advance,
Will

creat a DUN yourself..... if you're using their dialup thingy its
probably doing it.

Don't use BTi's downloadable Dial-up program.

Set up DUN yourself to the same BT number

Are you using the BT Internet phone dialler ? I'm using the traditional
DUN method for a connection, so the homepage loading doesn't occur.

He's done that. It doesn't work.

Which is because the BTI dialler overrides what you set in IE.

The answer is to remove the dialler, and set up the DUN connectoid
yourself.

You don't need to remove the BTI dialler. When you instal it, it sets ups a
icon in DUN so just make a short cut to the DUN and use that to connect.

Well, you could try learning to read ;-) The original post says:

"despite having a different homepage set in my IE options"

so setting it again isn't really going to help...

Yes, you do.

You also need to say Delete the BTinternet Dialler, and use a manually
set up DUN.

The BTI dialler overrides whatever is set in Options.

You did not, in fact need to say what you did, because he said in the
original post that he had set the correct page in his IE options.
