Avoid these thieving bastards, they took double my money and refused to give it back, I doubt if I’ll ever get my money back from them.

Why didn't you contact your bank or card company? If the money has been
taken incorrectly they have to refund it and chargeback the client. You only
have 3 days to do it under the DD guarantee though.

I can't find any mention of this 3 day rule? Surely it's unreasonable
as the money may be taken today, but your next statement is next month?

Hi,

Obviously there is more of a story here. If you could let me have your
old username (By email - iw...@plus.net) or if you could reply with it
here, I would be grateful for the opportunity to look into the
situation for you. I will of course be able address any issues that
remain on your account.

We certainly recognise our billing system isn't perfect (Although
circumstantial evidence suggests it is better than a lot of other
ISPs!) and we do have processes in place to ensure that any mistake is
rectified very quickly indeed. I am most surprised that if you were
billed incorrectly a refund wasn't generated immediately...

With Regards,

Ian

Hi there,

If you have genuinely been double billed then we would return the over-
payment without any problems. If you can provide me with your username I
will be more that happy to investigate for you. My e-mail address is
jbe...@plus.net if you do not want to post it here.

I came across this rule when I was querying a payment that was 6 days old. I
should have seen it earlier as I have online banking. A little persistence
though and I finally got my money back from the bank. I think that is the
general rule, but depending on your bank, they will review it on a day to
day basis.

I can't see how the 3 day limit can really exist. It's surely untenable
given the words of the dd guarantee.

"If an error is made by the organisation or your bank or building

of the amount paid"

No mention of a 3 day limit there. (In any case, 3 days from when?)

I can only go by the information I was given by my bank when I wanted to
claim under the guarantee.

I think the general rule is that there is no such limit, but depending
on how much your bank sucks, they may attempt to impose one...

Maybe on that occasion, but generally they are one of the better ones to
deal with and normally extremely helpful.

You can bill decently via a Canadian hosted biller for $99US a month -
