The problem is with the X-stream authentication server Imo.Keep trying and
eventually it will let you on.

I've got it to work without putting in the full e-mail address, ie just my
username.

I log in using the @libertysurf.co.uk suffix. For me the username and
email address are one and the same.

X-Stream is having troubles at the moment, still reeling from the
takeover by libertysurf (I imagine...) -

I have a libertysurf username but...I use the X-Stream 'net servers
I use the Libertysurf email address but...I use the X-Stream smtp and
pop3 mailservers.

To check the technical details of your connection, you can go to
members.tripod.co.uk/mutantcamel. I have a page there which should
tell you what server you are using. Be warned it's a graphix intensive
site, though. The page can be accessed using the little Extreme
tracker link at the bottom of the first page - it's a little sphere
with a lightening bolt around it (centre frame).

Not any more cause thats what X-Stream now is.... however, you wanna get
that software installed, and then it'll work fine...

If it doesn't tuff, but at least you'll not be acting like a leeching
bastard.

OK but when I install the software it uses the wrong 0800 number. How do I
change it?

Hi steve

username in Dun and / or X -Stream network dialer should be you full E Mail
address

i.e < username > @x-stream.co.uk + user sign up password

You also need change Modem Time out settings in < Control panel/ modem
/connections/ time out > Min 120 seconds

Seems to take an age between 60 - 120 seconds for server to authenticate
password

You also need to set Dun to repeat dial at least 5 times !!!
