I've heard of other people saying about problems with other ISPs today -
maybe there is a backbone problem ? Anyone else having problems with
connections apart from RHA ?

Apart from the usual authentication problems IG click are having, the
data
throughput/pings is it's usual high standard

I do hope RHA bring the system back up to standard as it's almost
unusable even on ISDN.Way too much PL.

Yes, as it happens, started late this afternoon. Demon were unreachable
for me on G4 number and Red ROMP, Purple had a trickle through it.,
news.cis.dfn.de were down, ('Network Down' message or somesuch) for
about half an hour. Cyberstrider unreachable. Horlicksed all round,
I'd say.

Direct connection (telnet) to the US seemed fine, but not to Demon or
cis.dfn.de

Demon is up now on non-Surftime numbers, RHA have had their moments as
well, but screwed at the moment for me.

Must be DoS day...

That is not the impression I get from reading the postings on alt.igclick.

Telewest have several main links to US down - this is causing congestion on
all UK Internet.

I have (not free) providers that use BT, Telewest & MCI - none are good
right now. Guess we should all bear that in mind before blaming RHA.

I cannot comment on the postings on there or any other forum as I can
only go by my connection 01482 area and as you see from my previous
post the pings and lack of packet loss on 13 hops to the USA are
superb. The dual bonding only works now and then but once connected my
single channel 64k is excellent and always has been with them and I'm
having to use them a lot at the moment to play my online games as RHA is
useless at the moment for me.So long as IG don't go under I'd be quite
content with a good, reliable single channel ISDN connection at the £30
PA I've paid.As I don't use their e-mail or news servers everything is
fast for me with their connection.
Off -peak times I connect 1st time so as I found out from one of the
support they have still not recovered from the massive influx of users
they got when EZ and Quip went to the wall so it's a modem user/ports
ration thing. If they implement more of said as they have indicated then
things should improve with luck but all these un-metered providers seem
a little flakey but still no where near as bad as my old ISP which I was
paying £15 PM for.

Apparently BT Internet was a bit bad last night. Maybe we owe RHA a small
apology. They seem better this morning but not by much and it *is* the
morning. I'm still getting download speeds of just over 2kb/sec. MSN still
weird though. The page loads then the "Page cannot be displayed" message
pops up! RHA or IE problem?

I`ve managed to get a connection within the first few attempts (20 or so) on
the 0808 number, but the throughput is still as bad as yesterday. And the
day before. Something on the status page about all this would be nice. I
haven`t noticed rDNS working properly with the 010 number/bank ever...alot
of the problem seems to be in the DNS itself atm. Can`t find hostname
etc...And when it does work the throughput is so slow it either times out or
you lose most of the data you ask for.
