A minor point to add ia that this pricing is just for the provider's
portion of the monthly cost. Telco "loop charges" apply in addition to
the line provider's service. Up here in Massachusetts/NyNex land, rates
are regulated, so all providers must pass along pretty much the same rate
to the customer. So while the provider can provide attractive discount
pricing for extended terms like a 3 year committment, they can't control
this telco portion of the monthly charge.
This can easily add up to quite a few hundreds per month. In my personal
case, it's $670/month just for the loop charge.

Specifically, $1500.00 -> $3000.00 is a reasonable ballpark.
PS - I'll entertain any offers for for point-to-point under $1,000 up in
Boston. (yeah, I know, LOL.)
