How much would it cost to get a direct t1 connection to the internet (from
my home)? Thanks.

You probably need a T-1 Frame sevice which is $700 monthly & $1500 1 year
term or $500 monthly & $1250set-up for a 3 year term. It is possible that
you may just need a "Super" Dedicated Access 128K ISDN which is only
$1,990/year &$250 set-up or if paying monthly $390.95/month. A "Regular"
Dedicated Access id $693/year & $50 set-up or $104.95 if paying monthly.

To elaborate on David Jacob's comment, above.....

A minor point to add ia that this pricing is just for the provider's
portion of the monthly cost. Telco "loop charges" apply in addition to
the line provider's service. Up here in Massachusetts/NyNex land, rates
are regulated, so all providers must pass along pretty much the same rate
to the customer. So while the provider can provide attractive discount
pricing for extended terms like a 3 year committment, they can't control
this telco portion of the monthly charge.

This can easily add up to quite a few hundreds per month. In my personal
case, it's $670/month just for the loop charge.

More than your monthly home mortgage payment unless you own a mansion.

Specifically, $1500.00 -> $3000.00 is a reasonable ballpark.

PS - I'll entertain any offers for for point-to-point under $1,000 up in
Boston. (yeah, I know, LOL.)
