Just a quick note to make sure that the true pricing of SunBelt.Net
services is represented along with the available services. (We also
offer leased line connections at any desired speed.)

SunBelt.Net offers 3 'dial-up' plans:

a) $15/month with 5 hours free, $2.50/hour additional

b) $35/month with 20 hours free, $2.00/hour additional

c) $250/month unlimited 24x7 connect, including network routing
(Use the connection to connect your entire network to the INTERNET!)

All services are 14.4 kb SLIP/PPP connections to SunBelt.Net backbone
Network Access Points (NAPs). All SunBelt.Net NAPs are interconnected
using AT LEAST T1 speeds. A user running a SLIP connection at 14.4 kbps
will run at maximum speed at all times. (Note: A user does not HAVE to
run SLIP/PPP, they can just be a remote terminal. Other, possibly lower
speed, alternatives may be slightly less expensive for these users, but
the SLIP/PPP option is preferable in almost all cases.)

A quick look through this group and some others to find comparable slip/
ppp rates showed:

ccnet(n. cal.)-$40/40 hours per month with $1/hr after that

Portland, Or.-$25 for 120hrs/month

TIAC-Boston: $29/40 hours per month, $49/100 hours per month.

I would assume that your rates for the "less desirable" serial dialups
for people using terminal emulation are similarly inflated.

I'm sorry. I would really like to keep my money at home--that's why I
do all of my banking through a credit union. But until your prices
approach the national average, I'll be doing business out of state.
