Alexis has a stork bite on her forehead and Jake had one too, but his
went away really quick. Alexis still has hers when are they supposed to
go away?

Hugs,
Tim and Clarice

They don't always go away. My husband and his brothers all have them at the
back of their necks. I'm sure either way, it will fade somewhat however.

All my kids were munched on by the stork and it took several years for the
red to totally disappear.

Warm hugs,

Hi

My son has a strawberry hemangioma on his nose. At first they told me it
was a stork bite. A hemangioma can continue to grow up to one year of age.
Is the mark getting bigger? If you have any questions about the mark I
would go to a pediatric dermatologist. Hemangiomas can persist for a long
time. (it is hard to say how quickly they will shrink) My son has started
pulsed dye laser treatments for his nose hemangioma. Quick intervention for
these birthmarks can prevent permanent scarring. I don't want to scare you,
but I did want you to know that birthmarks can be hard to diagnose. If you
have any questions feel free to email me privately. In the meantime you may
want to check these web sites.

I'm 30something and still have my storke bite. There are now at least
4 generations in my family(dad's side) with a stork bit @ the nape of
the neck. My grandma, dad, myself and my brother and now our children
(my nephew and my 2 girls). Kelsey also has the cutest stork bite on
the bottom of her right foot. It also looks like the stork has a feast
with the back of her head, in addition to the big one at the nape of
her neck she has several of them on her scalp. Don't think she will be
looking to get a GI Jane haircut when she grows up. LOL

Guess I'm no help at all--just had to pass that on. LOL

Both my twins still have theirs on the back of their necks. In fact, my dh
still has his. However, Hannah had one on her eyelid and I was worried when it
was still there at 6 months. But, I was just looking at their 1 year old
birthday party pictures and I realized that it was gone. I guess I just had
gotten so used to it that I didn't realize it had disappeared. It does flare
up when she gets mad or cries.

Jason has a stork bite on his forehead (still at 9 months) and had angel
kisses on the back of his head but they are pretty much gone now. I guess
it just depends. DH keeps asking when it will go away and I don't know
what to tell him.
