In Vitro Fertilization
Infertility is the major problem faced in modern era due to stress factors increasing in men and women along adheration of advanced technologies. To overcome infertility issues and to assist fertilization, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) services are provided in Bloom Health Care.
In Vitro Fertilization is a procedure followed to fertilize egg and sperm 'outside the body in glass' hence coined as 'In Vitro' of men and women in a laboratory medium. This technique is used since 1978 through the process of insemination and the babies developed using this technique are coined as 'test tube babies'. IVF is used to help women to become pregnant who are facing various issues like infertility, advanced age issues, ovulation, uterus problems, damaged and blocked Fallopian tubes. In addition, it also assists male factor of infertility and blockage, decreased sperm counts.
In certain scenarios, reasons for infertility cannot be explained. To assist the depression among couples, Bloom Health Care is carefully assisting to conceive a child through the technique of IVF. In turn, IVF needs commitment, financial support, time and emotional stability among couples. Most importantly, a woman undergoing IVF should be able to withstand side effects that takes the forms like: Decreased Urination, Vomiting, Nausea, Abdominal Pain, Weight Gain, Bloating, Damage Structures around Ovaries.
Further, IVF is carried out in systematic procedure that includes:
Simulation or Superovulation:
This process follows extracting ovum from woman's ovaries by injecting fertility drugs to increase the production rate of eggs. And this process requires prior examination of ovaries and blood tests conducted to check hormone levels in woman's body.
Retrieval of Egg:
It is a process followed to remove eggs through minor procedure that uses ultrasound images as a guide. A thin needle is inserted into woman's vagina that is in turn connected to suction device to pull the eggs. Donated eggs are used in the scenario when women fail to produce eggs.
Fertilization and Insemination:
In this process man's sperm is mixed with extracted eggs in a test tube, petri dishes or beakers and cultured in laboratory medium for 2 - 6 days. In certain scenarios, laboratory staffs may directly inject sperms when they observe less chance of fertilization. This process is called Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI).
Culturing of Embryo:
Division of eggs is known as embryo and it is observed keenly for its growth to result in embryo composing normal and healthy cells. Embryo with genetic disorders are removed from the culture through Pre implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD).
Transferring Embryos:
Catheter consisting of embryos is transformed by inserting into woman's vagina. Many embryos are inserted into the womb that in turn results in twins, triplets or more in some of the cases. Unused embryos are later used to donate for other patients.
Hence, Bloom Health Care provides best service by transferring appropriate number of embryos with caution to avoid complications of conceiving and delivery and to yield optimal result out of In Vitro Fertilization.
