Hi.
Ive been very busy, miss you all.

Yesterday after her nap, I noticed Abby's right eye
was tearing. (tears flowing, not 'ripping'! LOL)

It is still doing it today, but the pedi has no
openings until Monday.

The eye is not red, just keeps making
tears, and it may be a 'little' puffy.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much.

Could be a clogged tear duct. Several times a day, take a soft washcloth
and wet it with warm water, then gently massage under her eye, kind of from
the side of her nose upward.

Julia's eye did this just three weeks ago. It followed a light cold. Turned
out she had an ear infection. Dr. said that an ear infection will often cause
the coordinating eye to water. Perhaps you should take her to a immediate care
facility to have her checked out tomorrow. (That's where we are headed w/both
girls first thing in the a.m.) I hope it's like that and nothing serious. I
suspect it isn't anything too bad to worry over ;)

Debbie,

I had a "cold" in my right eye this week. It was all red and had goop in it
in the mornings when I would wake. I just kept putting visine in it and
didn't wear my contacts. Don't think that helps you at all with Abby,
but...I think it's possible to get a cold in the eye or as Anne said, a
clogged tear duct.

Hope it clears up soon!

Thanks you all.
I took her last night to a local
pharmacist.
He suggested Benadryl and Eye Wash.

We did the eyewash, oh my, I dont recommend this, unless you want your carpets
'eyewashed', too! LOL
But it seemed to help.

The Benadryl just made her tired and cranky. Dont know if it was the wash or
meds, but it seems better today!
Again, thanks!

Both sammi and shay had this last month. It lasted about 3 days, and then went
away on its own.

love,
