PARIS -- U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton swept into Kabul last
Thursday to rain on Afghan President Hamid Karzai's second-term inauguration
parade.
Clinton commanded Karzai reduce rampant corruption in Afghanistan so
Washington could justify sending more troops. She is the former first lady
of Arkansas, a state acclaimed for high ethics and good governance.
President Karzai will of course establish an anti-corruption commission.
Some big turbans will be prosecuted to please Washington. But this charade
will fool no one but U.S. voters.
Most Afghans see Karzai as a U.S. puppet. But maybe the exasperated puppet
will turn on his string-pullers, open peace talks with the Taliban and
demand the U.S. pull its occupation army out of Afghanistan. India is said
to be waiting to take over the care and feeding of the Karzai regime.

hillary and bill are worth many millions, from wise investments of their
frugal salaries as public servants, no doubt. for much of the time it was a
tag team, with bill in office, and hillary as a lawyer for folks who needed
him to get things done, not too far off of liebermann and his insurance/drug
company enriched wife.
the clintons wonderful daughter gets a hefty six figure income from a group
that peddles its insider access to the democratic party.
what is the difference? and we wont go into the bush family and the carlisle
group, etc.
however, i dont want to be propping up kharzi with remote control bombs and
crazy mercenaries drinking gin out of each others asscracks. let him steal
AFGHANs money, not mine via bush/cheney or obama.
