a plan written by a committee whose head has said he doesn't understand

True to a point. Tax cuts DO increase tax revenue for the government.
That is an indisputible truth. Has happened time after time after time
throughout our history.
Of course, our government believes in the 'the more you make, the more
you spend" principle, so yes, they probably do SPEND more when tax
revenues are up.

If there were indeed, true competetion in the marketplace, instead of
govenrment mandated, captialism sapping restrictions on oil,
healthcare, cable, etc., then the prices would go DOWN. Another simple
fact, proven time and time and time again. Competition in the
marketplace drives DOWN prices, while at the same time, provides a
better product or service.

Ya' never really know. Anyhow one of the major problems we had in Nam
was Johnson's "Those assholes can't bomb a shithouse without my OK." He
and McNamera tried to micromanage the war from Washington and even
McNamera in his memours admits that was a big mistake and has many
misgivings over it.
