You have a bad recoil spring.
Second thought: check the overrunning clutch for binding.

Your Wiring something up wrong or you may have burnt the new motor up already
and also I can't see it from here.
Now the first cause you spoke of motor not starting and you have to start it by
hand can be caused by a bad capasitor or a burn start winding.

Well there's the problem right there. When you extend a chord your
fingers can get twisted in a knot on the fret board. After that anything
you touch will turn out on a bad note.

You are one stupid mother-fucker.
Are you a retard?
Many of the new motors are built very poorly today. You will see many
bad new motors right out of the box. Try a few more motors before you
give up. Also, try a larger motor capacitor. Usually double to triple
the microfared rating will get a slow starting motor going again.
Lastly, try using 220volts to get the motor going. Anymore, regular ol
110v is just too outdated and weak for motor starting. The electrons
in the motor just dont get excited enough to get it turning. Thus, you
have to give the motor a shove.

It's your electrical panel. You've got to spend 2$000 to replace it.
Chrissy won't answer that one, but the rest of us will.
YES YES YES YES YES YES
You have multiple problems.... It would have been a whole lot less expensive
to have called a *competent* HVAC tech.
BTW... can't give you any other info without model and serial number.
In any case, you wasted $175
Yeah! Install a whole new system! The guys here need help making money.
Thermostat broken? Spend $5000 on a new AC unit. Low on oil fuel?
Obviously your furnace needs to be replaced?
You AC uses electricity? Replace the elctrical panel.
What a bunch of con artists.
Conduit still rattling?

Yeah because it was installed by some jackass like you.
Sounds like skinned wiring which can cause a fire and the rattling is
the wiring arcing.
You have demonstrated you don't know how to use a meter or even what to
look for.
That puts you in the dangerous retard column.
Call someone while you still can. You're too damn dense to do it.
Except jackass, it would rattle all the time.
Gee, an installer that doesn't know shit. Sounds like most people here.

Is the motor you bought reversable? Its possible you just dont have
the rotation set correctly.

Thank God, I thought I was the only one who thought this. I was taught
not to pick on them but this guy drives me batty sometimes... He has been
given a lot of help but has ignored it and now he gets what he deserves,
IMO.
As a platoon sgt in the combat arms MOS (infantry/special weapons) I
ran across a guy who although being one of the nicest guys you'd ever want
to meet (give ya the shirt off his back), was completely un trainable (Gomer
Pyle X 10). I took him into my platoon on a bet when everyone else had
given up on him. I lost the bet and nearly lost my mind trying to teach him
anything that would stick. I have a lot of sympathy for his Boss... :)

To CY, you need to read more and post less and maybe ask some questions
w/o the sig (if you know it's offensive why post it except to troll???).

It's not politically correct to call him 'retarded'. Besides,
I've known 'retarded' folk that were smarter. At least THEY knew
enough to take advice from experts.
Let's just call him 'simple' :-)
Yep - Stormy is 'simple, no lie.

You obviously failed in teaching him target practice.
"OK, Goober, time for target practice. Go stand down-range
and be real still .... no, no, no, the OTHER 'down range'......."
