Can someone tell me the correct value? I looked on Lennox site and
around the web but can't find any documentation for this model
anywhere.
Thanks!
I think this would be a 2.5 ton unit (I was told an HS18-261 is a 2 ton, so
this is the next size up)
rb
take the first 2 digits past the hyphen of the lennox number, & divide by 12
the result is an approximation in tons of cooling.

This is Turtle.
I really never got complex on this but i always just said if it had a 31 in
like hp-311-1v . It was 31,000 btu's. Your way seem to go the same way.
Does your way of thinking match my way or can it very in some cases.
TURTLE
just out of curosity, here's a cross reference list from totaline.com on
Copeland replacement compressors for Lennox products....the copeland
replacement for a HP18-311 is a CR28K6-PFV which is rated at 28,200btu
(five bux says its a major re-pipe as well) :-)
