Well it is not that easy here. that unit is over 25 tears old and no longer
made anymore but suppose to be that Carrier keeps for their dealers a copy
of such animals for them to view only. When I'm hunting for spec. or wiring
diagram of a unit that came over on the mayflower. I Call Shreveport ,
Louisiana branch and they will send / mail or Fax you anything on the unit
you want. You have to act like a commercial dealer but don't sell
residentiual equipment. They don't have any ideal who they sell to just say
I sell a few everyonce in a while. Call 1-318-868-3700 or the toll free
number which probley will not work outside Louisiana of 1-800-845-8878 .
Try to speak to John Burns but he ain't going to be there for he stay on
lunch or break all the time. If anybody has the cut sheet they will. Now you
better have the style number if any, Serial number, and Model number handy
for without the serial number & Model number they can't look it up in the
old units section.

That unit is a 10 ton Gas heat package unit and is over 25+ years old. I
call Shreveport just a little while ago and everybody that had a brain was
out of the office. I did call Herb Byrd at the local dealership place and he
said that gas pack should have paper thin heat exchanger by now because of
looking at the service sheet of the older stuff.

Now you know why i say ''Now what'' for.

That was a little close but no cigar ! The 48A types are new and the
smallest 48A you can get is a 20 ton gas pack and the 48DR012 is a 10 ton.
But a good try.

Yeah--he is probably too busy learning Chinese for reading the new manuals
when they move all jobs offshore (sorry--but I know a number of guys (and
families) who Carrier is giving the heave-ho to in favor of more profits-
(now it would be one thing if the Central NY factory was losing money-they
were not--they just want more!). What I love is UTC is crying the new law
they are trying to pass (that any government contracts be awarded to
companies with more that XX% of employees on US soil) would be unfair as it
would cost them a lot of money. Yet they say they have to move jobs offshore
as that is where there customers are-pffft. Sorry--just had to vent--going
back to lurk mode.

It is the thing to do till it is not profitiable and have to move back. The
'' Made in the U.S.A. '' thought has fallen off and people are getting
complacient about U.S.A. made stuff. The next time you go to buy something,
Think Hummmmm Where is the Made in The U.S.A. items are. If everybody just
would Think I want stuff Made in the U.S.A. wrote on it. These company like
Carrier will never leave here. The reason the Japanese and the Chinese
country are growing leaps and bounds is '''''' THEY THINK '''''' MADE IN
JAPAN or MADE IN CHINA. In Japan the people just will not buy non Japanese
products or even Food. The just will not buy U.S. Rice or grains of any kind
for they grow them theirself. Beef is the same story but they have off beat
country growing it for them under a Japanese company name.

They got it together and we don't.
