Can anyone give me some idea for "Duracool" refrigerants. They are named as
12a/22a etc. They claim that you need just 1/3th qty as compare to
conventional refrigerents. The head pressures were lower.

Have anyone used it practically? Kindly give me some brief details.

If you check their web site www.duracool.com you will see that their
refrigerants components are all variants of methane. I for one doubt that
the next generation of "ozone friendly" main stream accepted refrigerants
will be based on flammable components. How many zillions of leaks occur
world wide. What percent of those leaks might create a range of flammability
in the presence of a flame or spark? If a gas is acknowledged as flammable
isn't that admitting that it is explosive?

Jade,
Most of the replies received from this newsgroup are mainly from
highly-skilled professionally trained HVACR service technicians and
installers with decades of training and experience. Consequently,
"Duracool" refrigerants are out of our league. Try their website at
www.duracool.com .
