help on image file links needed

when using an image as a hot spot to link to another page how do I get rid
of the purple outline so that just the image is seen.

The purple outline is likely to be a link indicator (i.e. text links too are
purple). To remove the outline, specify BORDER="0" in the IMG tag:

<A HREF="apage.html"><IMG SRC="image.jpg" HEIGHT="yy" WIDTH="xx" ALT="link
to a page" BORDER="0"></A>

With xx and yy being the pixel dimensions of the image.
