I am looking for a non advertising traffic counter for my site. I am
currently using Website Tracker, but if I fail to log in once in 24 hours it
displays arather large ad. I am planning on going out of town in a month or
so, and will not have access to the net, so I need a way to eliminate this
problem. Please advise, thank you.

Try www.thecounter.com

It's the best free counter I've found. No adds and pretty good stats.

Let's not forget the easy free image counter by www.digits.com. I've used
it on pages, editing the sample code they give me so the counter itself, and
not some text they're trying to get me to use, is linked to their site. An
additional notation in my stylesheet, " img { border: 0 } " takes care of
things. And it's an unobtrusive, good-looking and simple counter.

I use a counter at www.thecounter.com and you can select a counter which
shows no advertising name - and has so far been good to me

But the question still remains, does that site also record info about the
visitor?

One place that can get some info about the visitor like IP address of your last
visitor and demographic information is www.nedstat.com.

You can sign up directly at this link: http://www.nedstat.com/f80125e80150.htm

Try www.thecounter.com, theye offer an invisible counter where you log in to
their web site to get stats. It's free too. I have had good luck with
using it.
