It's too bad about the Gomez Place once owned by Alex who hung around the
wrong crowd, before the "city" took over. There was nothing wrong with the
building, 25 years is really not old for a building, it had a good
computerized system, which is NOT what the "city" wants, money is too easy
to trace in organized systems, and the city seems to favor some Vlad The
Impaler Arbitration to feed their confused money laundering ego. The
Lookout Society has done a good job in taking responsibility for the
homeless and organizing RENT systems funded by BC Housing and others..
A lot of the city restrictions, like no basement rentals due to ceiling
height laws, has left many potential workers as homeless....homeless ppl
have a problem finding secure employment as labor, artists, and other
markets...
Apparently BC Housing is gutting out all the basements and leaving them
totally empty, which leaves about 10 square km's of space that can be used
for homeless sheltering.....
