It's time once again to call in the creative forces of various ghoulish
minds out there to compete in The Jeff Rense 2007 Annual Halloween True
Ghost Story & Splash Art Contest! Top placing winners will receive a
cash prize and Brad Steiger's book Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits, and
Haunted Places
THE RULES...
Halloween Splash Art Contest
We're looking for everything from the spooky to the spoofy, scary or
hairy, funny or ghastly! Artworks can be political, humorous or dead
serious, so long as they maintain the Halloween/Horror theme. (Please,
no abstract art! Should be representational imagery dealing with the
Haloween or Horror related theme. And slapping Dick Cheney's head on a
spider won't cut it. Come on, folks... get WEIRD!).
FORMAT: Original art only! Digital or traditional.
Please only submit JPG images, keep the resolution anywhere
between 72-100, size should be maximum 523 pixels wide x a maximum
depth of 500 pixels (if you want to submit a larger version we can
shrink it for display). Flash animations welcome if kept under 900k.
Remember, these images are intended to fit our main page splash art
section. You may present your artwork anonymously or with a pseudonym,
but for those who want attention we'll gladly credit your name,
website, email -- just tell us specifically how you wish to be
credited. Each person can enter up to 3 splashes. If you want to
collect prize money or book, give us your name and addy! (such
information is held in strictest confidence and will not be shared or
sold). If you have a paypal ID, let us know as it would make paying
prize money a lot easier and faster! (No abstracts, please. Art should
be representational)
