Has anyone seen this French film? In it, tens (or maybe hundreds) of
thousands of dead people show up alive and in good health (though their
body temperatures are a few degrees below normal). But their minds are
different. They can speak and remember their old lives, but they are
slow and spend lots of time wandering about looking for something. The
movie mainly concerns itself with society's attempt to reintegrate these
people into society, and the difficulties in doing so. A few families
are featured, and we see their struggle taking back people whose deaths
they have already grieved, and who are spookily different. Though there
are no real scares to be had, there is a pervasive feeling of dread, as
though something very nasty is ABOUT to happen. Some, like the White
Lady and Andy, may find it contemplative and poetic, while others may
just find it a bore. I certainly don't regret watching it.

If you haven't seen the UK series In The Flesh which follows this
premise it is well worth a watch.

I've seen "In the Flesh," and agree that it's pretty good, but it is
completely different from this film in tone and approach.

I've almost finished watching the French TV series, which expands on the
premise. It's only eight episodes long but it's fucking brilliant!

Oh! I might have to seek that out!

You might not recall, but I had recommended this one to you before.
I love it, as long and drawn-out as it is. It's the most
tear-jerking zombie film I can name off the top of my head.

I have trouble recalling my real name. But if so, good call, my friend.
