(Olympia, WA) "Shameless self-promoter" Todd Tjersland is proud to
announce that production is now underway on the sequel to his 1997
cult classic, THE NECRO FILES, under the working title NECRO FILES 2:
LUST NEVER DIES. Produced by Tjersland's Astaroth Entertainment label,
the new film will reunite the three leads from the original cast:
Steve Sheppard as Detective Martin Manners, Gary Browning as Detective
Orville Sloane and Isaac Cooper as Logan, the Zombie Sex Maniac. The
three talented cult icons will join a cast of established adult porn
stars and fresh young faces in what is predicted to be the most
over-the-top horror film of the year.
"We are going to outdo the original film in every way with this [new]
production," claims NECRO FILES creator Tjersland, "NECRO FILES 2 is
going to be even more filthy, disgusting and hilarious than anyone
ever thought possible. There will be more explicit sex scenes
(including spread shots), more outrageous gore effects and the zombie
gets a total make-over as the new "Uber-Zombie," who is faster,
tougher, stronger and more horny for rape than ever. NECRO FILES 2 is
going to blow away all expectations for what makes a cult classic."
With over a decade of experience to draw upon as both a filmmaker and
writer, Todd Tjersland is no stranger to independent film production.
With NECRO FILES 2, he brings his formidable talent and twisted sense
of humor to the plate, bat once more at the ready to hit another
rock-em, sock-em "horror movie home run" out of the park. His film and
video credits include ANTI-HERO, BACK FROM HELL, BEST OF FACES OF
GORE, FACES OF GORE 1-3, GRAVEDIGGER, LEGION OF THE NIGHT (aka DEAD
CITY), MISLED, NAZI TORTURE DUNGEON 1-3, THE NECRO FILES, SEXY SECRET
AGENTS, STALKED AND RAPED 1-3, and WITCH TORTURE 1-2. A media darling,
Tjersland was dubbed the "Visionary Overlord of American Horror" in
the British Fantasy Society magazine, PRISM, and deified as an
"American Underground God" by the German horror magazine, DOOM.
Tjersland adds: "The original NECRO FILES was even listed in the March
2001 issue of PLAYBOY as one of their 'ten favorite cannibal movies',
ranking higher than MOTEL HELL, CANNIBAL: THE MUSICAL, and THE COOK,
THE THIEF, HIS WIFE AND HER LOVER. Not too shabby for a film that cost
next to nothing to produce by comparison to the millions spent on the
other contenders. I am extremnely gratified that THE NECRO FILES was
the only shot on video feature to even make PLAYBOY'S top ten list,
which reaffirms and legitimizes its status as an all-time cult
classic."
Special Effects are once again in Tjersland's capable hands. When
asked about the extent of the sequel's special effects, Tjersland
winked and said, "There will be a lot of them--some quite complex--and
some need to be handled with CGI... but most are being done the
old-fashioned way, with real hands-on blood and guts, just like the
zombie movies we all grew up on and loved as kids. The CGI will not be
intrusive and is designed to mesh seamlessly with the traditional
special effects."
Several key scenes have already been shot; including two brutal zombie
rape attacks, and hysterical new "PULP FICTION-esque" introductions to
the characters of the detectives hot on his trail, sure to please fans
of the original. "We are going for a real comic book flavor," says
star Isaac Cooper (who plays the zombie), "almost like a live-action
cartoon, only for zombie fans. I'm really excited to see the finished
result!"
This October, the cast and crew of the British hit series "SIN CITIES"
will feature a full behind the scenes look at the making of NECRO
FILES 2 on the UK's Bravo Network, including exclusive interviews with
NECRO FILES 2's cast and crew. SIN CITIES 3 series host "Ashley" will
have a cameo in the finished film as a mutilated victim of the zombie.

Nice to know some things never change. For me, however, things are

I've created the world's largest one stop shopping center for death

sick sites to my roster soon. I've been producing a line of death
fetish erotica in Hollywood starring Taylor St. Claire (AVN Female
Performer of the Year, Best Girl-Girl Scene of 2002, star of the Best
Adult Film of 2002). Anyone familiar with my twisted sense of humor
and predilection for hot naked damsels in distress should appreciate
the artistry involved there, hehe! So far, I've released ten films.
I'm releasing two new death fetish titles per month and I'm sitting on
a pile of material shot, but still to be edited. It's really nice
stuff; we've done some lavish "costume drama" Nazi and Spanish
Inquisition S&M titles I'm very proud of. With these, we are cutting
straight to the chase: get the girl naked as quickly as possble, then
brutalized as savagely as possible for the rest of the run time, LOL.
Kinda like if you cut out all the boring parts of your average
B-movie, then cranked the nudity and violence up a notch.
On a more scholarly note, I contributed a chapter on the life and
films of Paul Naschy to FEAR WITHOUT FRONTIERS, a study of
international horror cinema and its contributions (both culturally and
individualy) to our beloved genre from FAB Press in London, which is
currently at the printers and should be available for purchase from
their site (and in bookstores) shortly. I've seen a pre-release copy
of the book and must say it is a nice addition to any horror fan's
library, with rare poster art and publicity stills.
Andreas Bethmann's X-Rated video label in Germany has released a
special two disk (Region 2) DVD set, limited to 666 pieces, of THE
NECRO FILES. Both disks feature the uncut version of the film. Disk 1
features a new "digitally remastered" German dubbed version while Disk
2 has the English language version with German subtitles. I haven't
seen this release yet, but I hear the dub job is every bit as good as
that in Andreas Schnaas' ZOMBIE 90: EXTREME PESTILENCE, lol. Sadly,
there are no extras except for the trailer (something the current
UK/USA disk doesn't even contain, though this will be corrected in
abundance when the NECRO FILES 2 disk comes out in October). For your
convenience, here is a review of the new German release, which I found
at http://www.dtm.at/Reviews/Review-Necro-Files.htm and it even
compares screenshots between the original version and the newly
"remastered" version. Is it just me, or does the original version look
better? Damn technology, lol.
Anyway, just thought I'd stop by and share the good news about NECRO
FILES 2 with you guys. I'll post more as we closer to the release
date. Thanks for your feedback and support... whether you love me or
hate me, at least you never forgot me, just like my films. :)
