The Vampire Conspiracy 2005
Dir. Marc Morgenstern (Sarah Boes, Adrian M. Pryce and Ron Mazor) Five
seeming strangers wake up in a room. A vampire tells them they're there
because they represent the evils of a degenerate society. If one of them
survives his maze, he or she will inherit his entire fortune. The game
begins and they soon learn that they're not complete strangers after all.

Despite my dislike of most vampire films, the vampires here are purely
secondary. The story is in the convoluted ways these people know each
other and the struggle to survive, even if it means killing each other
to do it. It's low budget, but the damn thing is really tense and
fascinating. It's kind od a mix of Saw and The Cube, but it goes places
you just won't expect at all. And for a vampire flick, the vampire
himself is an old school classic, well played. He creates elaborate webs
of temptations designed to draw out the cowardice, greed, lust, and
bigotry of seemingly decent people...webs that culminates with their
confinement to his maze. But there may even be a surprise for him in his
little game. The film makers made the absolute best use of the budget
they had to work with. There's nothing flashy about it, just great
character based story. One of the finest examples of low budget indy
film making I think I've ever seen.

This sounds like another of the "puzzle-rooms" sub-genre.
I dig those, for the most part, if they are intelligent.
