This was nothing but a dull soft-core sex flick...and the "infamous"
severed-arm-masturbation scene was just dumb.

This is the kind of film a company like Threat Theatre would sell and say "it's
an erotic horror-gore splatter masterpiece!". Then you buy it and say "what a
piece of shit".

I reviewed this one awhile back--I thought it was kind of fun, I mean as
much fun as a movie with a gigantic penis monster killing men in gruesome
ways then raping women can be, of course...

are you fucking nuts? this is one of the first movies that dragged me into
the J-Horror genre.

they just don't make movies like this in America. Uninhibited sleaze and
violence.

Well, I
haven't seen Entrails but I had the above thought with Let Sleeping Corpse Lie
which replaces Revenge Of The Dead as the worst (post NOTLD) zombie flick of
all time. Yesa, there was a little gore at the end but it was too little ,too
late. After boring me with lackluster directing and acting, the gore better be
spectacular. If you mention NOTLD in the same breath as the film you advertise
then it better be good.

nope, but I did buy an awful bootleg copy of Godzilla Vs. Mothra from that
company, what a rip off.

I'm really amazed at your attitude to the film!

There is lots of gore for the time, hell the film's been censored and banned
so much over the years..

Maybe you gotta be British to appreciate this film? I just LOVE those
stoopid "cockney" accents and a gory zombie film set in the English
countryside. There are subtexts about the fascist cop etc., but just enjoy
the film for an immensely entertaining, gory, cheesy zombie classic!

Mike.

To tel the
abxolute truth, I was bored for the first hour. Maybe you gotta be English, I
don't know, but the actors were un interesting. There was no visual flair, ala
Fulci and his films. Everything about the movie ws flat for the first hour.
Yes, there was probably
a lot of gore in the movie for the time but as I said before, too little ,too
late. I'm sure part of the problem is that the movie was overhyped and couldn't
live up to expectations, ala Blair Witch. I expected a lot from this movie when
Night of the Living Dead was mentioned in the same breath. I plan to watch it
again at a much later date to see if my attitude towards the movie changes.

BTW, I consider NOTLD(68) to be the yardstick by which all zombie
pictures are measured.
