I am particularly fond of films in which the entire focal group is wiped out
by the end of the movie. Below is my list of such films, and I would be
interested if people could suggest others. It does not count if even one
member of the focal group is left alive at the end, even if that person dies
in a sequel (Alien, Friday the 13th); nor does it count if it is *implied*
that one or two remaining characters will die (Carpenter's The Thing). It
also does not count if the one remaining character has been driven insane,
but is still alive (Tombs of the Blind Dead, Tenebrae).

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (original version, not the crappy remake)

ZOMBIE 3: THE NIGHTS OF TERROR

HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD

INSEMINOID (aka HORROR PLANET)

HORROR OF THE ZOMBIES (third entry in the Blind Dead series)

ROCKET SHIP X-M

THE EVIL DEAD (??)

CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST (if the focal group is considered to be the four young
filmmakers)

I'm sure I will think of others as soon as I post this. Meanwhile....any
others?

> One film called Burial Ground has the wipeout ending, but I think
that might be Zombie 3, I've only seen it as Burial Ground, but Iknow
it has a differnt title.
In They Live, same thing. Roddy Piper's character gets killed at the
climax. He is the focal point, doesn't matter if he isn't since
everyone dies. Only I don't think that's considered horror.
Also I saw this one film, don't know if it was a short or not, but
it stars a bunch of teens in a lake and they end up getting
trapped on a water locked pier because some black blob in the water
chases after them and eats their skin. One by one they all go down
until the last one standing on the pier makes a dive for land and beats
the water blob and right as starts celebrating the water blob shapes
itself as a wave and crash down upon him. Don't remember the title of
that one though.

Yes, Burial Ground is the same as Zombie 3: The Nights of Terror.
The one about the teens and the lake sounds like a film of a Stephen King
short story called The Raft or something like that......haven't seen the
movie.

This is one of the shorts in CREEPSHOW 2 called "The Raft".
I love this one, and it scared the shit out of me when I was younger.

>Miracle Mile

I know this really isn't horror but this is one kick ass movie. Its to bad most
movies aren't as effective as this. Suspenseful and unpredictable, makes TBWP
look like a Saturday moring cartoon.
