my dog
(Fenrir), actually he walks me, spending time with my cats.
Favorite Movie: Iron Will, Pokemon the 1st Movie, Pokemon 2000, Fly Away
Home.
I love Iron Will cause it teaches people never to give up & that the
underdog can win. I
like the lesson in Pokemon 1 about caring for other creatures and the abuse
of power.
The second one I like because it is about upsetting the balance of
things.Fly Away Home
is a true story about how people can change things if they care enough to
try.
Favorite Were Movie: Wolfen. A movie about a special type of urban wildlife.
Favorite Literature: Fantasy/Sci-Fi. The Call of the Wild & White Fang by
Jack London.
Favorite Were Literature: The Reindeer People & Wolfs Brother by Megan
Lindholm.
Favorite Art: Van Gough, Louis Wain, Henri Rousseau.
Favorite Were Art: Any art about wolves & cats.
Favorite Saying/Quote: No bird soars too high if he soars with his own
wings.

- William Blake.
Favorite Were Saying/Quote: The wolf seldom howls alone.

- Daniel Wood.
Favorite Personal Quote:
THE WOLF WITHIN
I am the night
The wind which sets the stars alight
I am the night!
I am the moon
The ancient, rhythmic, tidal tune
I am the moon!
I am the dark
I am the blade that makes the mark
I am the dark!
I light the night
I draw the tide
I am the shadow you hold inside
I am the fear from which you ran
I am the wolf inside the man!
- Melanie
Schmidt.

Favorite Band(s): Celtic music, nature sounds, Lorenna McKennet.
Favortie Were Song: Hungrey Like the Wolf - Duran Duran.( I love the beat
as well as
the metaphor)
Favorite Season: Winter. I love the shortness of the days and the silence. I
love the sense
of waiting to be reborn. I love the strength of the imagery.
Favorite Holiday: Mid-winter.
Perferred Prey: Animal - deer, esp caribou, though ive never eaten their
meat,
rabbits/hares - i love rabbit meat, seafood. Human - those who abuse their
power and
think they know it all.
Preferred method of attack: Animal - the chase across the snow-bound wastes.
I am never
so joyful and full of my own deep power. Human - I counter these type of
people with a
powerful inner resolve and let their negativity flow away from me. I play
their game but
change the rules.
Favorite Non-were Mythological Beast: Griffons, unicorns, dragons.
Feelings Toward Vampires: I am strangely drawn to vampires and find the
imagery
exciting and erotic.
Feelings Toward Normal Humans: I see them as people who are living
superficialy and
feel that they are missing the truest, most vital part of themselves.
Personal Therianthropy: I will start with a poem I wrote about my
experiances as a child,
because it describes how fundamental my awakening was.
AWAKENING
I crept upon the cold earth
And dragged my belly along the dirt
Each nerve as brittle as an old, dry twig.
The silent morning, the thin, damp fog
The mossy edge of a rotting log
And the low-down view made the trees look big.

I was a hunter locked in stealth
Or the creeping child of elusive elf
Or maybe a pheasant who fears the night.
But I was a girl alone in the grass
Trying a gate that I could not pass
And looking and longing to get it right.

Silent I crouched and looked around
And almost abandoned my quest on the ground
When my vision swam and my mind had sight.
For just a moment the stars appeared
Surrounded by darkness I once feared
I reached out to embrace the night.

And it seemed that the night had a fur-like feel
Warm and soft and almost real
And eyes as wild and uncertain as weather.
But I knew the night and I knew its sound
I knew what crept on the cold, grey ground
And I heard the howl that would haunt me forever.

I have written many poems upon this subject, so drop in to my web site for a
peek. I remember a few key moments in my awakening while I was a child, and
have always felt this type of connection for as long as I can remember.
Wolves
and cats are sacred animals to me - I love the wolf as a wild animal, the
cat as a
wild creature living among us, and both as pieces of my soul. The wolf seems
to
be the primary personality of my other self, cats seem to be part of my more
magkical, feminine self.
My wolf-self is pack-orientated and loving, proud and powerful, with a
strength born from a love of nature and life.
My cat-self is dark, mysterious, magikcal, feminine, solitary and possesses
the ability to be free within the confines of modern life. I love them both.

Wow, three names and two email addresses in the same paragraph.
Excellent.

Another excellent entry, two animals who can't possible coexist in real life
have formed an everlasting bond in the mind of our applicant.

Well, at least it wasn't Perth.

Would this be a description for Melanie or Gregory?

Thanks for that wonderfully roleplaying renditional spelling of the word
"magic".

Of course, what good would it be if your "cat" were fat and lazy like your
human?

Gee, a "were" with a whole bunch of outdoor interests. That doesn't happen
alot.

I like The Wizard of Oz, because at the end Dorothy learns that everything
you'll ever want is in your own backyard. (Imagine the irony, a girl, who
ran away to hollywood to become an actress, is on that big silver screen
telling all those other girls, who want to run away to hollywood to become
actresses, that they should not try it.)

Yeah, don't you just hate when you find out how deadly, mean and downright

I see alot of cat road kill around my place, funny no one ever selects them
because they are slower than cars and too stupid to know what asphalt means.

But, thanks for applying. We'll get in touch with you soon and let you know

Can we say cliche?

Oh wait, she is blonde. Definite points in the villiage idiot
competition.

Could you hit a couple more cliches while you are at it?

Sounds more like homemaker to me.

Do you do anything that doesn't involve animals, or are you just afraid
admitting to such activities would ruin your chances of becoming a real
were?

Yes, pokemon had a great ending. A series based on beating creatures up,
putting them in balls, and then using them in pikachu fights, but the
moral is that fighting is wrong.

> The second one I like because it is about upsetting the balance of

yeah, we will change things by continuing to pander to an outdated idea
of how a real were should be. Gee, I hope someday you can admit that
watching movies is a hobbie for you. It must suck to not be able to
admit to doing something that does not involve nature.

> Favorite Were Movie: Wolfen. A movie about a special type of urban wildlife.

That point of that whole movie just wizzed right over your head.

ACK! I don't think Van Gough did any wolf pictures. You are soooooo not
a real were anymore.

Do you do anything that isn't related to wolves, cats, or nature?

I'll take that as a no.

But that is about wolves, not werewolves.

The silence must be a relief after all the laughter.

Is it a coincidence this coincides with our idiot of the year awards?

How do you know if you like them if....

I know the royal family is just shaking in their boots at your skill and
power.

Of course, since you havent actually been in that form to eat those
animals......

Human - I counter these type of

I am filled with a feeling of terror. Like I might laugh so hard I fall
off the bed and ruin the whole image of a graceful cat.

You will get along well with our other resident roleplayer. She is a
20th level dragon/werewolf called cypherwulf.

They didn't want you either.

Which is? Oh wait, that sort of insight might have made that thought
deep.

Oh good, another in a long line of poets.

My eyes are already bleeding.

Yada Yada. Geez, is there some sort of random poetry generator for
werewolves out there? This fucking drivel gets posted so often and it
barely varies.

Thanks, but once you have read one you have read them all.

I remember a few key moments in my awakening while I was a child, and

Thank god you found this group, and not the god damn therians fucking
campliar. Just what sort of purpose does that group of malignant sheep
have? They are supposed to catch these roleplaying twits before real
people have to deal with them.

Cats normally have an identity of their own, and they do not have to
play into everyone else's preconceived notions about awereness to be
accepted.

You must be suicidal.

Yup, you are free, as long as you sneak around to do anything that isn't
were related.
