It has gone almost a week since I discovered the existence of AHWW (or was
it more? It certainly feels like that.)
To say that this place has been constantly on my mind would maybe be to
exaggerate a wee bit, but not overly much. Funny thing, though; it hasn't
impeded on my daily work (as a HR consultant). On the contrary, it has
fueled it...
My experience right now is like finally finding a place where I can express
the third and perhaps most personal side of the person Sinclair, namely the
wolf-side of my spirit. For many years I've been an environmentalist and a
pagan. Finding people to share and work with in environmental matters wasn?t
too hard. Finding pagans took definitely a bit more of an effort (actually
almost four years, but this was in the late 70's. Pagans were rather
scarce, especially in Sweden). But even with most Pagans I could only refer
to the Wolf through my fylgja (Old Norse for spirit-guide, helper, etc.). To
claim that a fundamental part of my soul actually was a wolf, and not only
figuratively speaking but literally!?!

So, when I first encountered the AHWW, I might have been a wee bit too
enthusiastic, mailing different people without reading the FAQ (which I have
now), and so on. Since then, I've been around to various Pack-members home
pages, read a lot of good stuff (thank ye all!), posted my werecard (which
right now is under constant revision) and foremost of all, trying to catch
up on the reading of what is posted here.

Hmmm, I wrote in my werecard that I went through my first full
transformation around 1990 (at the age of almost 30.) I better clarify that.
I have yet to experience a transformation of my body. I think that what I
went through best could be described as what is called here at AHWW a
bilocation shift (appearing as a material wolf elsewhere). The material I
read said that this was unusal, quote: " Although I haven't personally heard
of any Bilocation Shifters in AHWW..."
Please, if someone have any experience or comments on this, let me know! (We
have it in our Old Norse myths. Maybe it's a local "custom"? ;-) Any
suggestions welcome.)

Thank's to Moonshadow, Moon Child and all others for their friendly mails!

Care & Take Care,

Cool. :) Good for you. :)

A couple theories spring to mind:

The first comes from Santeria. In Santeria (briefly, a pagan religion
found in Central America) some of the adepts claim to have an affinity
for a particular type of animal. The adept (I think the term is
"Santero") is able (assuming you believe in magic, and believe these
claims) to possess the body of said animal. When doing this, the
Santero's body, IIRC, lies dormant.

Do you suppose this could be what you were experiencing?

The second thing actually closely parallels the Santeria thing. Some
people in AHWW have kicked around the idea that when Dreaming, the person
merges consciousness with a real live animal somewhere.

Other than that, someone several months ago mentioned bilocation, but I
don't recall who it was. Just thought I'd bring these bits of trivia to
your attention.

Welcome to the fire, btw. :)
