I've found that the more horrible and bizarre the story, the more
likely it is to be an urban myth. I guess it's because those are the
kinds of stories that get remembered and repeated.

Well, who knows? I'm skeptical, but since I'm not on the scene, all
I can do is speculate. I tend to agree with the final sentence of
the first article: ""It's really incredible that killers like this
could exist today," said one contributor to the newspaper Peru21."
Incredible, as in not credible.

It wasn't scepticism, it was bottom of the garden logic. Al may be
