I have been tirelessly searching for a company called No Mercy Comics that
put out a really cool (both art and story) comic called Nightshade. I have
the #1, but was wondering if anyone has heard of it. It has a good (for
comis) Mythos type of story, similar to Millenium Comics H.P. Lovecraft's
Cthulhu. I am an avid HP Lovecraft collector, especially books in comic
form. Any help would be appreciated.

I also have #1, but nothing beyond that. I never saw another issue in comic
shops, nor a solicitation in Previews, so my guess is that the publisher
folded up and died. Either that, or it was eaten.

It wasn't the publisher (though I haven't seen anything from them in awhile),
it was the creator. The writer died before finishing the book. Pretty sad,
really. While a bit twinkish, I liked the book because it was based on his
real-life CoC game.

Side note:The publisher was Rikki Rocket, the drummer for Poison. Weird how far
the Mythos tangent spreads...

Actually, NIGHTSHADE was being written and drawn by Mark Williams, who
died shortly after the release of #1. That kind of put a crimper on it,
if you know what I mean.

Incidentally, the publisher of No Mercy comics was Rikki Rocket, the
drummer of the band Poison (and another guy was co-owner I think, but I
don't recall his name).

NIGHTSHADE #1 was quite intriguing though, wasn't it?

Where can I get #1? I'm also looking for HPLian comics.

I have;

John Coultart's _Haunter of the Dark_ TPB

All of Kelly Jones' _The Hammer_ and _Hammer Outsider_ comics and _One
Big Lie_ TPB plus _Uncle Alex_ one shot

_Codex Arcana a tribute to H.P. Lovecraft_ (Dark Horse Presents)

_The Worlds of H.P. Lovecraft- The Statement of Randolph Carter_

_Heavy Metal_ October 1979

Jason B. Thompson's _Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath_

But this is all I've got. I'm always looking for more.

I have got some (I believe) Action Comics versions of "Cool Air", "Beyond the

Massive Box of Lovecraft Related Things to get you the info on them.

I keep plugging "Hellboy" and "Hieroglyph".

Does anybody know a good website where I can buy new comics (I
don't really care about old ones)?
