Does anyone know anything about Alpha wristwatches? Not to be confused
with Alpha Saphir, I think. Basically, I got an old ladies wristwatch,
the brand is Alpha (and uses the alpha-symbol as a logo) and it seems
its model 72 SL (says so on the dial) and it's got 17 jewels and is
Swiss Made. I was just wondering how rare these things are, never seen
one before...
Oh, and what does PLAQUE G10 mean, it's marked on the side of the watch.
It's plated with something, but not gold I suppose? the watch is gold
tone anyhow.

Yes, it could mean that I suppose... or it could mean karats, but then
the letter would probably be K rather than G...

Well, it doesn't seem to be very familiar brand to anyone.

Well, the watch I have looks like it might be from the 70's. I don't
know why, it just looks like it to me. It could be older of course. I
tried to find any markings of the manufacturer from the movement but
there doesn't seem to be any, maybe the markings are hidden somewhere
deeper inside, but I can't be bothered to completely dissassemble it as
it still works... :-) Oh well, it's not that important anyway.

Ok, thanks for clarifying that.
