Paul Breton - Geneva?

An acquaintance was offered a Paul Breton - Geneva pocket watch. Because
this person knows I own a couple of watches and have one book on the
subject, I was asked my opinion! I looked it up in my one book and there is
no listing that I can find. "Complete price guide to Watches, 1998 edition"
Very nice gold hunting case, beautifully engraved. The case says "A. L&Co."
and is marked 18K. The only number I can find is on the case, 64895. The
name on the dial is Paul Breton with Geneva beneath the name. Help please.

From Kathleen H. Pritchard's "Swiss Timepiece Makers 1775-1995" (which I got at
the NAWCC library and have found very helpful), I found that A. L.&Co stands
for Aikin, Lambert and Co. of New York, who were a wholesale watch, diamond and
jewelry importing company in the late 1800's. They imported the Paul Breton -
Geneva watch. A high grade 21-jewel key wind watch is mentioned. That's about
it.

Hi,
I was going to put this out as a general inquiry, but if you still have
Pritchard's book, would you mind looking up when LeRoy et fils went out of
business? The were located in La Chaux-de-Fonds. It would be much
appreciated.
