Is There A (source of clock repair information)

There is a very rich source of information on clock
repair, in my biased opinion: it's the NAWCC (National
Association of Watch and Clock Collectors). The home
page is reached at <www.nawcc.org>. There is also a
subscriber list called "clocks" that will help but you
either must be self-taught, have a mentor or attend classes
on the subject. A few adult education departments of local
schools have clock repair classes.

First reading for those who self-teach is Goodrich's "The Modern
Clock" available from Timesavers, Scanlon's American Reprints
and others. Another is "This Old Clock", a syllabus by David
Goodman available from the author. Further, there are video
tapes available on the subject.
