Although her feedback file prior to my involvement with her was
exemplary, my dealing with her was far from satisfactory and she will
not even honor her satisfaction guarantee.
I bid and won on an obviously cracked plastic clock on eBay. She
was upfront and stated it was cracked. I asked her to pack it
carefully and to insure the package. She sent it USPS and I paid her
an additional $.75 for the insurance.
When I received the package I should have immediately rejected it
because of the rattling I heard inside, my mistake. But I figured it
was the glass which can be easily replace. When I open the package I
found the clock in a zillion pieces with two of the three hands
removed, the glass cracked and scattered about, and the plastic case
destroyed. I figured that the six pieces of newspaper around the
clock were inadequate and I was furious because it was well known that
the pieces was fragile and she choose to package it in such a
haphazard manner.
She offered to mail me back $5.00 of the $15.25 because of her
"costs" into the clock. I told here that was unacceptable and the I
expected the insurance slip, although I could not in good conscience
go to the Post Office because of her lousy packaging job, and I wanted
the $11.25 which represented my costs less the actual shipping.
She stated that if I wanted the insurance slip I should send her
$15.00. This is essence is extortion.
So if you have a choice DON'T deal with her and if you do, reject
any package that makes the slightest sound.
I hope other will learn from my mistake and thanks for allowing
me to vent.
