I believe that your watch case is the 'Ramona', not the watch itself. Ramona
was a grade used by the Elgin Watch Case Co. (NOT the Elgin Watch Co.) to
indicate a gold filled case that was warrenteed not to wear through to the
brass for 20 years of use. The 6/0 indicates the size watch movement that fit
the case. A 6/0 movement would have been worn by a woman as a wrist watch, or
with the wrist strap removed, either on a slide chain or by hanging it on a
chatelaine pin. Because they could be used as a wrist or as a pendant watch
they were called convertible cases. If the watch movement is an Elgin (the
case & watch companies were not related) and is in the 22,xxx,xxx range, the
watch was made about 1920. If you send me the information that is engraved on
the watch movement itself I will see what additional information I can find
about your watch.
