Gilbert often sold clocks in ''series''. Yours is in the Army series
further broken down into ''Soldiers, Corporals, Sergeants, Lieutenants, and
Brigadiers''. They also sold clocks in series such as author, fish,
animal, birds, capitols, flowers, generals, jewels, lakes, Navy, and
steamers. The names had no relation to the glass or design of the clock.

Your Army series had six models No. 37 to No.42, all were in oak. They
first appeared in the catalogs in 1900.

The other models were in oak and walnut and were made from 1890 to about
1915.

Do you know if it is of any value?

What is it's condition? With the usual, all original case parts, correct
movement, good dial, original glass, pendulum, movement working etc. then
it falls into the category of US$ 150 to $250 depending upon where it is
sold and who buys it.

I believe your clock to be a typical ''kitchen'' clock of the time period.
Check ebay for similar clocks.
