In general the value of a watch is determined first by who made it,
the quality of the movement, the overall design and the rarity of the
model in particular. For many watch collectors a presentation
incsription such as Hughes Aircraft would be a negative factor.
However, collectors are drawn to certain exceptions, such as watches
commerating a long-ago Worlds Fair, Olympics, etc., or other event. I
would think that for manufacturer's commemorative watch to have value
the inscription would have to be special. Like Lockheed Skunk Works,
Ford 100,000th Model A, Hughes Glomar Explorer Crew, Seiko 1964 Tokyo
Olympics, etc.
Watches that just say GM, Ford, Goodyear Tire, Hughes Aircraft
probably won't have a very broad following among watch collectors.
Someone with a historical interest in that specific company could be
attracted however.
Others may have a different opinion.

Oh yeah ... google on LED watch or Hughes digital watch and you will find
a couple of good collector web sites. The LED watches were basically
replaced by LCD models. I am not familiar with the calc model - the
regular time models go for $80-200.
My impression is that the collector cadre is not numerous, but they are
around. A quick sale among Silicon Valley computer nerds.

Yes I thought of that after my post ... in this case the box and so on
will add value.
Did not know these items were so high $. Took long enough... (bought
Hughes watch in 1974, at Foley's. $75.)
Well anyway the module in the Pulsar calc watch may even be a Hughes
module. Sounds like the OP needs to get an appraisal/research.

What we don't know is whether this is one of the electronic watches
made by Hughes but branded and marketed by others. Or if it is simply
a watch with the Hughes name and logo on it. Big difference.

Well, I did not get the impression that the watch was like a Hughes
Aircraft employees service award, but I could be mistaken. And le't face
it, any Hughes calc watch that has a Hughes Aircraft logo on it is going
to be a Hughes Microelectronics watch.... and not just some other watch
with the Hughes name.
The watch I purchased in '74 had a Hudson Harris label, which I took to
be a made up name that really meant Howard Hughes, with "in-house" movt.
The Foley's full page ad stated that the watch ran at 768 kHz, and since
it kept time to 2 seconds per month I accepted that for many years, but I
believe it is in fact a conventional 32.768 kHz model.

768khz...now that would have been fast. Yes, I remember when the
Pulsar LED watches in 14k cases came out - they were $1,000!

The Hughes Aircraft Calculator Watch looks very similiar to the other
compuchron except there is no marking. It is in a box that has
"Hughes Aircraft" on the inside.

the public except through their employee store. However, CompuChron did
sell a small number of one or both styles with their name on the
