Emperor Clock Company 1973 Model 100m clock movenment

My grandfather put this kit together in 1973. It work for many years until the chains got all tangled by a nephew. So it sat for years. I inherited it and had an old Jewish clock repair man fix it for me. It cost $500. About a year later one of the gears messed up and the weight would not hold. I tried communicating to the clock guy about is there one gear or multiple gears in my clock. I didn't want to just fix one to have another break later. It was hard to understand this guy and he was extremely old. So I just said sure fix it and there went another $500.
Now a friend had ran into the clock and the gears in the movement came loose. I could not afford to have it fixed so tried myself. Every spring, gear, what not, thingy, just went flying and now it would take years to figure out where the hell all these small parts go.

It looks like the empire website is selling a movement that might work. I have contacted them to make sure. Its like $500!! My questions is, is this a good price? Is there a cheaper brand that I could put in? Thanks for your help

Emperor made the case and imported the movement. You have not
provided enolugh information to know what's in there.

Call another local clocksmith and ask him his differnece on a
warrantied ovrhaul vs a new movement, if in fact they are available.

Please keep in mind that anything made after 1965 to present will
be of relatively middle of the road quality and last somewhere between
15 to 25 years even with routine maintence.

In other words, go with the cheapest option because the clock has no
antiquite value and your attachment for it gives it it's vlaue.
