I just purchased a used Rado Diastar. It's a 40th anniversary "limited
edition " model from 2002.
I've never owned a Rado watch before, and I was wondering if the little
"anchor" looking little dial was supposed to rotate with the movement, or if
it is just supposed to be loose.
The one on this watch just spins freely as you move the watch around and
doesn't appear to be hooked to the mechanism by any gears or anything.
I could only locate one video of a Rado Diastar on the internet, and it was
too blurry to see if the little logo was rotating or not. One Rado website
has the logo spinning around at the top of the page, but that doesn't really
mean anything.
Lastly, it has the 2 tone gold and stainless band on it. Where might I be
able to find additional links for it?

If you want to respond directly, PLEASE remove the "nospam" from the email
address.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

The anchor is purely decorative - it is intended to resemble the winding
weight of an automatic watch. It is not connected to anything, though often
(always?) it is set in a ruby jewel like a watch pivot.

I'd contact Rado from their webpage to ask about links. It is, not
surprisingly , www.rado.com and click customer service for your country.

Thanks!
I went to their site and it's pretty lame. Several of the places they have
listed in the USA are not dealers or service places for them anymore but are
still listed.
I called a few of them and they said that they hadn't sold Rado in years.
Maybe some links will come up on Ebay or something.

I didn't see any on the Otto Frei site. Try emailing Rado directly
to...@rado.com according to their website. Tell them the problems your
having locating links and mention that you have been posting to internet
forums for help to no avail.
