Hi:
We just found a cabinet labeled Flexo Crystals with new old stock
crystals filling about two-thirds of the drawers. Must be a thousand
crystals in this cabinet. These are non-glass for watches. It has
application catalogs and a foot operated installation press. We're not
sure what we are going to do with it. Are such new parts still in any
kind of demand??? It would be a shame to not find a home for the unit.
Comments would be appreciated. Thanks, Dennis dnt...@gte.net

Dennis, where are you located? The world is bascially awash in old watch
repair material, but may have some value.

Hi:
Thanks for the reply. I am located in northwest Washington state;
about half-way between Seattle and Canada. I know there is a certain
amount of these nos supplies around, but I would just like to see it go
to a place where it could eventually get properly used. Shipping the
crystals is no problem, it is the cabinet that makes shipping
difficult. My wife would not mind keeping the empty cabinet, but it
seems unwise to me to break up the unit.

We also have a four drawer unit with quite a few new watch mainsprings.
Also about 300 pounds of watch/clock repair journals, catalogs,
watch/clock collectors magazines, etc. Probably the history of the
whole horological world in there. All in good shape, just heavy.

Then there is the collection of nos parts......sets of crowns, jewels,
staffs, etc., etc. Most in original repair sets; parts being in
individual glass vials with corks.

I am watching (pun, sorry) e-bay to see what stuff is selling for. I
can't see our keeping it all at our age. I'd like to get something less
than common-selling-price rather than have it sit here for the next six
months. OTH, this kind of thing does take >some< time.

Hope this helps, Dennis
