Hi all !

Does anyone have any experience with Nautica watches
(www.nauticawatches.com) ?

I'm looking for a wristwatch made of titanium that has chronograph and
date and day of week functions, all analog (without LCDs). Also the
price of this watch should be up to $300.

So far only watches that fit in this criteria are couple of Nautica's
models.

Now I'm interested what's the quality of those watches ? I'm unable
to find any comments/reviews on the 'Net.

Are there any other alternatives ?

Regards, Davor.

I bought a Nautica at a dept. store for about $60 several years ago.
For an inexpensive quartz watch it works fine. Once it gives me any
trouble, it's going in the trash can.

I believe that Nautica (along with Timberland and Guess?) have
licensed their brand to Timex. Therefore a Timex factory somewhere is
making the watches for sale under Nautica's name. I'd assume Hong Kong
or mainland China.
This may be OK if you don't pay a lot. I have a quartz Guess
Collection model I got at a Time Factory Outlet Store and it seems
like a nice watch for $60.00- stainless steel case, screw down crown,
nice textured dial, 100 meter water resistance.

Wenger (of swiss army fame) makes a watch that is similar to what you
want. It is called the GST air. However I believe that the watch may
have been discontinued. I own a GST sea (which is similar but made
out of steel, the air model was titanium). It is a pretty good watch,
as far as I can tell, (I tend to break things very quickly, and it
lasted me a while. I did finally break it, but I dropped it on the
marble floor of my bathroom on several occasions). (btw, it has an
antireflective sapphire crystal, which is a bonus). See if you can
find it, it really is a great looking watch.

The list price on the watch was about $500, but I got mine for half
that. If you can still find the watch, it might fit your bill.

Here is a link to the watch I was talking about:
http://www.sunglassesgiant.com/wegstairflwa.html
they sell it for $329
you might be able to find better.
Cheers,
Jonathan
