I at one time knew the answer to this question as I believe it was
discussed here years ago. But I have forgotten and can't find my printed
copy of who is the patron saint of watchmakers or clockmakers, or
horologists?
A guess St. Isadore.
I need some help with my sight not being as good as it used to be to
find those little washers and screws.
Thanx,

coarse to very fine and finally, to work 100% systematically and most
important - an apron with the bottom edge clipped to underside of bench

I did a web search some time ago and, as far as I remember, it threw
up St Elegius.

Steve.

The Catholic patron saints' index agrees with you: for clock- and
watchmakers the saints are St Egidius and Peter the Apostle.

However, we do have to share our paton saints with agricultural
workers, blacksmiths, boilermakers, cab drivers, carriage makers, cart
makers, cartwrights, clock makers, coin collectors, craftsmen,
cutlers, farm workers, farmers, farriers, garage workers, gas station
workers, gilders, gold workers, goldsmiths, harness makers, horses,
horseshoe makers, jewelers, jockeys, knife makers, laborers,
locksmiths, metal collectors, metal workers, metalsmiths, miners,
minters, minting, numismatics, numismatists, precious metal
collectors, saddle makers, saddlers, sick horses, taxi drivers, tool
makers, veterinarians, watch makers, wheelwrights, against frenzy,
bakers, bridge builders, butchers, clock makers, cobblers, Exeter
College Oxford, feet problems, fever, fishermen, foot problems,
harvesters, diocese of Jackson Mississippi, diocese of Las Vegas
Nevada, locksmiths, longevity, diocese of Marquette Michigan, masons,
net makers, papacy, archdiocese of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Popes,
Poznan Poland, diocese of Providence Rhode Island, Rome, diocese of
Scranton, Pennsylvania, ship builders, shipwrights, shoemakers, stone
masons, Universal Church, watch makers......
