I would like to have an old pocket watch recased into a stainless steel
wrist watch of about 45 to 50 mm.
Assuming the old pocket watch is a pendant type sidewinder can I have it
done at a reasonable cost? Any suggestions who might do this kind of
work? You reponses will be greatly appreciated.

Everything is practically possible. but a question of investments in
time & technology = unreasonable costs.

Perhaps you should firstly consider what is exactly the movement brand,
size and style number: some fitting wristwatch cases might be around.
You could also consider having the gold case adapted to fit around your
wrist.

Basically, I would recommend you to keep and enjoy your pocket watch as
is and try and shop around for a second hand already fitted wristwatch.
